    Are you passionate about details and accuracy?  Can you maintain a high level of confidentiality?  If so, we may have the perfect job for you!  General Dynamics IT is looking for a Seasonal HR Assistant.  A successful candidate will support the Human Resources function across the Federal Civilian Division, performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks on the phone and via email.  Candidate must be professional and pleasant with exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

     

    This is a Full-Time Temporary Assignment with an end date of November 30, 2018. 

    Schedule will be evenings Tuesday-Saturday.

    Overtime and weekend hours will be required based on business needs in this position. 

    • Develops proficiency in policy and procedure interpretation and responds appropriately to customer inquiries and service tickets
    • Performs data entry in a variety of Human Resources software such as PeopleSoft, recruiting database iCIMS, BPM and Oracle Timekeeping
    • In order to meet department deadlines and service commitments, creates and maintains accurate employee records using the HR applications (ICIMS and PeopleSoft).
    • Maintains a high degree of accuracy and organization to minimize errors
    • Researches appropriate solutions and work with necessary parties, such as Human Resources, HR Shared Services, HRIS, SRI Payroll and IT team to resolve issues
    • Develops supportive relationships with functional areas across the company and other HR team members in order to support the HR Shared Services team
    • Assists with I-9 processing as needed
    • Performs clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, filing, word processing, and data entry
    • Assists Teammates with their workloads and acts as a team player
    • Maintains a professional demeanor especially during difficult and stressful situations
    • Punctuality and consistent attendance required
    • Will be cross trained to support all administrative functions for the HR Shared Services team
    • Overtime work is required during ramp up periods
    • Performs additional duties as assigned

    Education

    • Requires a High School Diploma or GED

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of related administrative experience
    • Minimum of one year related Human Resource experience required
    • Requires computer skills using Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
    • Data entry experience required
    • Experience or capability to learn multiple applications including PeopleSoft, recruiting database iCIMS, BPM and Oracle Timekeeping
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail and accuracy
    • Requires independent judgment, good organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
    • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work successfully both in a team environment and independent

     

    Working Conditions:

     

    The work is typically performed in an office environment; which requires proper safety and security precautions. To ensure our contact center production area is at minimal risk for unauthorized disclosure (that is, the release or divulgence of information by an entity to persons or organizations outside of that entity) of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Title 13 data; the work environment operates under a Secure Floor Policy. The Secure Floor Policy limits or restricts personal belongings, electronic devices, or paper that can be brought into production areas.
